Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced full stack software engineer to join our team of talented developers who are responsible for designing and developing web and cloud applications that power our retail business. As a full stack software engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web and cloud applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, design and develop solutions, and collaborate with our QA team to ensure our applications meet our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java, Python, and cloud-based platforms
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure code that meets our quality standards
- Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, design and develop solutions, and collaborate with our QA team to ensure our applications meet our quality standards
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure our codebase is of the highest quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development and deployment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web and cloud development and apply this knowledge to improve our applications and services
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and cloud applications
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with data modeling and database design
- Knowledge of cloud-based services such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins and Ansible
