[Remote] Mission Critical Mechanical Commissioning

They are seeking a Lead Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer to manage mission critical commissioning projects, maintain client relationships, and ensure technical excellence in project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project lead and technical resource for mission critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members
  • Develop and maintain client relationships. Develop relationships on projects that accrue good will with our existing clients and collaborate with our management team to extend our existing relationships
  • Develop and manage project specific commissioning plans, commissioning procedures, checklists, test scripts, and schedules for Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities
  • Perform technical reviews of design documents and submittals specific to mechanical and plumbing Systems
  • Lead onsite teams to perform functional performance tests on mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Provide project management and coordination to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule

Skills

  • 10 years or more of progressive experience in building systems commissioning with at least 3 years of mission critical facility experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems
  • Able to work as part of a team, think creatively, and problem solve
  • Working knowledge and experience of electrical systems
  • Willingness to travel 75% or more as national level projects dictate
