[Remote] Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Maxonic Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support their client’s needs. The role involves building advanced manufacturing hardware, maintaining production assets, and optimizing lab environments to enhance assembly throughput.
Responsibilities
- Procure, assemble, and test new equipment, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic component assembly and integration, to fulfill validation and manufacturing requirements
- Physically manage receipt and storage of materials as they arrive
- Work with engineering to support documentation of equipment including assembly drawing, test protocol, and manufacturing methods
- Create and release ECOs for minor updates
- Document test results using paper and electronic means (Word, Excel, SAP)
- Assist with lab organization (5S) and coordinating efficient material transfer flow between planning and equipment engineers to support build timelines
- Coordinating execution of equipment shipments between US and international sites (e.g. crating and labeling)
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment issues and provide relevant line support (e.g. equipment adjustment and repair)
Skills
- Min 3 - 5 years of experience
- Experience in planning, ordering, assembling, validating, and supporting manufacturing equipment
- Hands-on with proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Mechanical/electrical assembly aptitude; Soldering experience a plus
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to document data in a clear and organized method
- Attention to details with focus on quality
- Good time management skills
- Ability to review Manufacturing Process Instructions / drawings and provide engineers with redlines/feedback
- Ability to perform initial troubleshooting of equipment
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medical device field with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar QMS
- Experience with 5S and lab organization
- Experience coordinating with Preventative Maintenance and Calibration team for equipment maintenance, calibration, and implementation in Production
- Experience with ERP/Document Control systems
- Experience with crating/shipping internationally
- Experience with V&V or TMV protocol execution
- Experience with CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD electrical)
- AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school a plus
