Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our data‑capture engine. Your meticulous work will ensure that critical health information is accurately entered, verified, and protected, enabling downstream analytics, billing, and population‑health initiatives. This role is essential for maintaining the high‑quality standards that our clients—ranging from large health plans to regional providers—depend on every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input data from scanned images into the QuickClaim system, maintaining a steady flow of high‑volume transactions.
  • Identify document types (e.g., claim forms, eligibility letters, benefit statements) based on visual cues and accompanying metadata.
  • Review and validate entered data against quality benchmarks, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Safeguard all Personal Health Information (PHI) in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations and arenaflex’s data‑privacy policies.
  • Collaborate professionally with teammates, supervisors, and cross‑functional partners to resolve ambiguities and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Provide actionable suggestions for process enhancements, automation opportunities, and error‑reduction strategies.
  • Complete daily task quotas, balancing speed with precision to meet service‑level agreements.
  • Perform additional office duties as assigned, including data quality audits, documentation updates, and support for training initiatives.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly rate: $12 per hour.
  • Flexible employment options: part‑time (minimum 20 hours/week) or full‑time (preferred).
  • Shift coverage: 8:00 am – 9:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday, with the ability to select the hours that best fit your lifestyle.

Essential Qualifications

  • Self‑motivated professional with a strong work ethic and a “can‑do” attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining efficient throughput.
  • Quick learner capable of following both simple and complex instructions accurately.
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client and patient data at all times.
  • Proficient English reading and speaking skills.
  • Typing proficiency: minimum 50 words per minute with at least 95% accuracy.
  • Keyboard proficiency: minimum 4,500 characters per hour with at least 95% accuracy.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in healthcare data entry, medical billing, or related administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for PHI handling.
  • Experience using document‑management or claims‑processing software (e.g., QuickClaim, Epic, Cerner).
  • Basic understanding of electronic data interchange (EDI) concepts and health‑care interoperability standards.
  • Comfort with remote work tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and cloud‑based file sharing platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet productivity targets without sacrificing quality.
