Position Overview

The Remote Data Entry Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of information across multiple internal systems and client-facing databases. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input large volumes of data into various databases, spreadsheets, and enterprise systems within established time limits and quality benchmarks.
  • Review all entered and existing data for deficiencies, inconsistencies, or errors, and promptly correct any incompatibilities discovered during audits or routine checks.
  • Verify the accuracy of information by cross-referencing source documents and confirming that entered data matches original records.
  • Update, edit, and retrieve existing data within databases in response to internal requests from team members, managers, or clients.
  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc backups to safeguard data and ensure business continuity in the event of system errors or unforeseen incidents.
  • Organize, categorize, and maintain physical and digital files and records to enable efficient data retrieval and long-term information management.
  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional team members to investigate and resolve discrepancies, clarify ambiguous source documents, and improve overall data entry workflows.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data security protocols when handling sensitive, proprietary, or client-related information.
  • Generate basic reports and summaries as needed to communicate data status, error trends, or process improvements to supervisors.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Data Entry Clerk, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar role requiring high-volume, detail-oriented data handling.
  • Excellent typing speed (typically 50+ words per minute) with a demonstrated track record of high accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle errors, inconsistencies, or formatting issues in complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in data entry software, enterprise databases, and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Solid working knowledge of spreadsheet functions, including formulas, filters, sorting, and basic data validation in Excel.
