Job Description:
FedEx, a global leader in the logistics industry, is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time FedEx SameDay Package Delivery Drivers in various locations across the United States. As a FedEx SameDay Package Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of packages to designated locations within a set geographical area.
Responsibilities:
– Picking up and delivering packages on time within a specified area.
– Providing excellent customer service at all times.
– Conducting daily vehicle inspections and maintaining the cleanliness of delivery vehicles.
– Safely driving and operating ground equipment of FedEx vehicles of up to 10,000 pounds or less in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
– Loading and unloading packages from vehicles.
Requirements:
– Must be at least 21 years of age.
– A valid drivers license.
– Must have a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
– Able to pass a physical as required in the Department of Transportation, DOT, regulation.
– Basic written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
Experience:
– Previous professional driving experience is preferred but not required.
