Front End Associate

Position Summary: Dollar General Corporation invites applications for the position of Front End Associate, aimed at individuals who are trustworthy and customer service-oriented to enhance retail operations at a nearby store. This role plays a crucial part in providing exceptional customer service, keeping the store visually appealing, and streamlining merchandise handling processes. The Front End Associate will undertake tasks such as assisting customers, managing inventory, implementing merchandising plans, and contributing to the general tidiness and layout of the store. Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill the responsibility of being the main customer liaison by warmly welcoming clients, answering their questions, and helping them find products.
• Inspect and handle incoming shipments, thoroughly reviewing products for exactness and quality before placing them in storage or presenting them for sale in the store.
• Follow the company's plan-o-grams to stock shelves, regularly rotate merchandise for freshness, and keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing.
• Establish and manage enticing product presentations and promotional configurations to elevate the shopping experience and stimulate purchases.
• Responsible for operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems to effectively handle customer transactions, including accepting cash, credit, and various payment methods.
• Execute regular housekeeping responsibilities to ensure the store remains clean and orderly, including tasks like sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, stockroom arrangement, and garbage and recycling removal.
• Provide support in inventory management responsibilities, including inventory counts, rectifying discrepancies, and procuring items utilizing handheld scanners or designated company instruments.
• Abide by organizational policies, safety guidelines, and theft prevention protocols to safeguard company assets and ensure a safe shopping environment for both customers and staff.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or similar qualification is advantageous.
• Showing proficiency in interpersonal interactions and communication strategies, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer care.
• Primary math aptitudes crucial for handling cash and performing transactions at a register.
• Capability to grasp and implement merchandising instructions, plan-o-grams, and store procedures.
• Consistent and prompt, with the competence to function successfully either autonomously or as a member of a team in a rapid retail setting.
• Ability to undertake manual responsibilities, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and transferring products.

Work Environment: In this capacity, individuals are expected to operate within a retail store environment, where they will have frequent contact with customers and coworkers. The Store Clerk will be required to engage in physically demanding activities, including restocking shelves and maintaining the store's cleanliness.
