As a transcriptionist with VIQ Solutions, your main tasks will involve transcribing depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings with precision and attention to detail. You will be required to work with legal terminology and adhere to strict style guides to deliver accurate verbatim transcripts. Skills Needed
- Prior experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
- Strong listening skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow client-specific guidelines
- Proficiency in literacy encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar
- Remote collaboration capabilities
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Aptitude for handling challenging audio/text content
- Clear background check
- Familiarity with legal terminology
- Court reporting students considered
