Key Responsibilities: • Animal Care and Handling: The Pet Care Technician will provide daily care for pets, including feeding, watering, grooming, and exercising them. You will monitor the health and behavior of pets in our care and report any concerns to the management. Your role as a Pet Care Technician is to ensure that each pet is happy, comfortable, and well-cared for. • Cleaning and Sanitization: The Pet Care Technician will maintain a clean and safe environment for all pets by cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces. This includes regularly disinfecting surfaces, changing bedding, and ensuring that all equipment is clean and in good working order. • Supervision and Playtime: As a Pet Care Technician, you will supervise pets during playtime and group activities, ensuring their safety and managing their behavior. You will engage pets in enrichment activities that promote physical and mental stimulation. • Health Monitoring: The Pet Care Technician will monitor pets for signs of illness or distress, administer medications as directed, and provide first aid when necessary. Your attention to detail is crucial in identifying any changes in a pet's condition and responding appropriately. • Client Communication: The Pet Care Technician will communicate with pet owners about their pet's care, behavior, and any special needs. You will provide updates on their pet's stay and address any questions or concerns they may have. • Record Keeping: As a Pet Care Technician, you will maintain accurate records of each pet's activities, behavior, and any incidents that occur during their stay. This ensures that we provide consistent and personalized care for every pet. Requirements and Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Previous experience as a Pet Care Technician or in a similar role working with animals is preferred but not required. • Strong passion for working with animals and a commitment to their well-being. • Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and confidence. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks that require strength and stamina. • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
