Job Summary:

The Service Support Specialist will assist the service department in various tasks, including dispatching, customer service, and completion of generator warranty and new unit start-ups. This position is based on-site at our Owings, MD location and offers a competitive salary and a chance to work with a leading company in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Service Project Coordinators in completing warranty, new unit start-ups, and national accounts assigned to KGE by Generac
• Act as a point of contact between sales and service departments
• Provide support to contractors, customers, and factory representatives
• Utilize in-house software to submit documentation and file warranty claims
• Assist with dispatching technicians to assigned projects
• Support the service team as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop relationships with coworkers and vendors
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required
• 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or related field

Physical Requirements:

• On-site position
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
