We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Boys Basketball Coach to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our athletic department, you will play a crucial role in developing the skills and character of our student athletes. Job Description:

The successful candidate will have previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport, substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for student athletes. You will be responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, as well as promoting character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement athletic policies and procedures approved by the school board
• Develop and execute practice plans, game strategies, and player development programs
• Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff
• Communicate effectively with student athletes, parents, and school administrators
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory of equipment and supplies
• Participate in budgeting and financial planning for the athletic program
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
• Concussion Certification and National Federation of High School Sports Coaching Accreditations
• Compliance with IHSAA coaching certification regulations
• Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
