Anatomy Tutor - USU Tooele
Job Summary:
Utah State University's Tooele Campus is seeking a highly qualified Anatomy Tutor to provide academic support to students enrolled in Anatomy courses. As an Anatomy Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals by providing one-on-one tutoring sessions, both in-person and online. - Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students enrolled in Anatomy courses, primarily on the Tooele Campus.
- Conduct tutoring sessions in-person and through Zoom online, from the campus.
- Assist students with understanding course content, homework, reviewing exams, and explaining concepts discussed in class.
- Collaborate with the Student Success Coordinator to assess student needs and update tutoring practices throughout the semester.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of Human Anatomy (BIOL 2320) and Human Physiology (BIOL 2420) with a B or better.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and build rapport with students.
- Willingness to attend training on online tutoring systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Pathophysiology with a B or better.
Work Environment:
- The tutor will work on the Tooele Campus, with some flexibility to work remotely via Zoom.
- The schedule will include mostly evenings, with exact hours assigned by the supervisor based on course schedules.
Compensation:
- $18.00 per hour.
