We are seeking a passionate and experienced Language Arts Tutor to join our team of educators at Tutor Doctor. As a remote, part-time tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with high school students, providing one-on-one support in language arts and writing, homework preparation, and test anxiety strategies.

Job Overview:

• Provide high school level language arts and writing instruction, including composition, reading comprehension, and homework preparation
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Conduct tutoring sessions remotely, with flexibility to accommodate students' schedules
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including progress reports and communication with families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality tutoring services, adapting to different learning styles and needs
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and our office team
• Manage tutoring hours, ensuring a balance of assignments and student needs
• Stay organized, with strong administration and time management skills

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in education, with a focus on tutoring or teaching
• Strong knowledge of language arts and writing, with the ability to teach high school level curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse students and families
• Reliable transportation, internet access, and a computer/smartphone for remote work
• Basic database/data entry skills and experience with lesson planning
