We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Success Tutor to join our Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound (ETS/UB) team at Umpqua Community College. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping high school students achieve academic success and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized tutoring and support to ETS/UB students in various subjects, including math, science, and Spanish
• Help students develop study skills and strategies to maintain satisfactory academic standing
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other tutors to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment

Requirements:

• Transcripted B or higher grade in the course assigned or teacher referral if currently in the course to be tutored
• Ability to work after school hours in one of seven high schools in Douglas County
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
