Senior Manager, Financial Communications

Join Our Team and Drive Financial Strength Messaging

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Financial Communications to join our Corporate Communications team at Verizon. As a key member of our team, you will focus on media relations and narrative development to drive financial strength messaging, creating and driving integrated communications strategies that showcase our financial performance and leadership.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our executive team, including the Chief Financial Officer, to develop and implement a proactive thought leadership strategy. You will also partner with internal stakeholders in finance to understand key performance indicators and develop strategies and messages to support them.

Responsibilities:

• Develop quarterly earnings materials, including messaging, press releases, and internal communications
• Partner with the employee communications team to build Finance employee communications campaigns that foster a culture of development, engagement, and innovation
• Elevate the Chief Financial Officer and finance leadership team through a proactive thought leadership strategy
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies and messages that support key performance indicators
• Serve as a communications liaison to the Verizon Ventures team, developing communications materials for web and social media channels
• Act as a key spokesperson with relevant media outlets

Requirements:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in financial communications, preferably in an in-house team or PR agency setting
• Experience working with C-level executives
• Ability to break down complex financial information into clear and concise communications materials
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills
