Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Protection & Privacy Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing and implementing data protection and privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations
• Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop secure and compliant technology solutions
• Providing expert advice and guidance on data protection and privacy best practices
• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of data protection and privacy
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
• Participating in the development and implementation of data protection and privacy training programs
• Conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a STEM-associated field, with a focus on data protection and privacy
• A deep understanding of data protection and privacy requirements and policies, including local, national, and international regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management and stakeholders
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment to strict deadlines, with the potential to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Reliable, punctual attendance is a critical aspect of this role

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• CISA certification
• Knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols, and network security
• Knowledge of security engineering and architecture principles
• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key control principles
• Ability to interpret noncompliance to determine its impact on levels of risk and/or average effectiveness of the company's cybersecurity program
• Hands-on experience with data protection and privacy vendors, tools, and product capabilities
