Job Responsibilities

As a Data Protection & Privacy Analyst at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing and interpreting data protection and privacy requirements and policies, both locally and globally
• Developing and implementing data protection and privacy solutions to meet the evolving needs of our business
• Collaborating with our Digital Technology team to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions
• Providing expert advice and guidance on data protection and privacy matters to stakeholders across the organization
• Conducting risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement in our data protection and privacy practices
• Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines related to data protection and privacy
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in data protection and privacy, including regulatory changes and industry best practices

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• At least 3 years of experience in a STEM-related field, with a strong focus on data protection and privacy
• A deep understanding of data protection and privacy requirements and policies, both locally and globally
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• CISA certification
• Knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols, and network security
• Knowledge of safety engineering and architecture principles
• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key control principles
• Experience with data protection and privacy vendors, tools, and products
• Ability to interpret noncompliance and determine its impact on risk and/or overall effectiveness of the organization's cybersecurity program
