As a Home Sewer, you will play a critical role in assembling textile materials into finished products using single needle industrial sewing machines.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Home Sewer to work from home, assembling different types of textile materials into finished products using single needle industrial sewing machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production sewing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This is a remote position, and the successful candidate will be required to pick up and drop off work orders from our location in Wylie, TX (Zipcode: 75098).
Responsibilities
As a Home Sewer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assembling different types of textile materials into finished products using single needle industrial sewing machines
- Meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality products on time
- Maintaining quality control and taking appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision
- Identifying components and workings of sewing machine and performing basic daily maintenance
- Inspecting products for defects
- Knowledge of materials and ability to work with different types of fabrics
Preferred Skills
While not required, the following skills are highly desirable:
- Creating patterns and designs for sewing projects
- Experience with sewing tactical gear and leather products
- Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Sewing medium to heavyweight fabric nylon products
- Program and advanced troubleshooting of industrial sewing machines
- Pattern making/Drafting on paper and/or CAD
- Veteran Military, Law Enforcement, and/or First Responder experience
- Experience with firearms, MILSIM, Airsoft, MILSIM Paintball, Simunition, and UTM
