Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Online Instructor - Construction Law to join our team in the Division of Business, Social Sciences, and History. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in construction law, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. This is a part-time position, and we offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

As an Online Instructor - Construction Law, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching courses in construction law, including online and dual enrollment courses
  • Developing and implementing curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Assessing student learning outcomes and providing feedback to students
  • Maintaining currency in your teaching discipline and staying up-to-date with industry developments
  • Supporting the institution's mission and vision, and abiding by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement academic programs
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in construction management or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a construction-related field/discipline
  • A Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field/discipline with 3 years of work-related experience in a construction-related field
  • An Associate's degree in a construction-related field/discipline with 7 years of work experience in a construction-related field
  • A strong background in construction law and a proven track record of teaching or training in this area
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a willingness to work in a culturally diverse environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Previous online teaching experience
  • A strong background in curriculum development and assessment
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and online teaching platforms
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field of construction law
