Job Summary

As an Online Instructor - Humanities, you will be responsible for teaching courses in the humanities, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. You will work closely with the English and Humanities Department Chair and other faculty members to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education. This is a part-time position, and we are seeking individuals who can commit to teaching a variety of courses, including day, night, and weekend classes.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach a variety of courses in the humanities, including art, English/literature, music, theatre, philosophy, and more

• Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the college's mission and goals
• Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
• Work closely with the English and Humanities Department Chair and other faculty members to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education
• Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and activities
• Maintain currency in your teaching discipline and stay up-to-date with best practices in online teaching and learning

Essential Qualifications

* Master's degree in a humanities discipline (art, English/literature, music, theatre, philosophy, or humanities) or Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in a humanities discipline

• Master's degree in any discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of humanities disciplines
• Previous online teaching experience is preferred, but not required
• Ability to teach a variety of courses, including day, night, and weekend classes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience teaching online courses

• Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment
• Strong knowledge of the humanities and ability to teach a variety of courses in this discipline
