Responsibilities

As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Processing and verifying customs documentation, including import and export records, to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and government agencies to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., international business, logistics, supply chain management)
  • At least 6 months of experience in a data entry or customs-related role
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including HS codes and tariff classifications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with customs software and systems (e.g., ACE, AES)

  • Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding and logistics operations
  • Certification in customs brokerage or a related field (e.g., CTPAT, ACE)
