Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients receiving specialty drug therapy. You'll work closely with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and resolve any financial or clinical issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving specialty drug therapy via phone

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
  • Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of insurance, benefits, and medical terminology to provide accurate and compassionate support to patients

Essential Qualifications

* 1 year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone

  • 1 year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • 1 year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

* Experience in the healthcare industry, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors. Our pay range for this role is $17.00 - $28.45. In addition to your compensation, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
