Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Provider Data Entry Specialist to play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of provider demographic and contract affiliation information within our health plan system. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate update of provider records, which is essential for our operations. Key Responsibilities

As a Provider Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Receiving and validating provider information from external sources to update our system
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date provider records, with a strong emphasis on timeliness and attention to detail
• Participating in regular audits of provider records to ensure quality and financial accuracy
• Documenting feedback and recommendations for process improvements
• Supporting system and health plan integration efforts, including training current staff and new hires
• Assisting with system-related testing activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data exchange and integration

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Prior experience in a medical office setting, specifically in provider credentialing or a related position
• Experience in claims, coding, or credentialing is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strict adherence to Managed Care Organization policies and confidentiality requirements
• Reliable attendance by the agreed-upon schedule
• A thorough understanding of and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing principles
• Familiarity with health plan operations and managed care concepts
• Certification in medical coding or credentialing (e.g., CPC, CCS, or CPCS)

Education and Experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• 1+ years of managed care experience and medical office experience with coding or credentialing
• At least one year of medical office experience is required
