The Role

As a Temporary Customer Service Advisor, you'll be part of a dynamic team that helps customers on our key contact channels, including email, live chat, social media, and phone. Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and offer advice to customers who need your help. You'll also be responsible for maintaining our reputation for excellence and caring about our customers, which is reflected in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Taking inbound contacts: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide advice on our products and services.

  • Making outbound calls and sending emails: Update customers on stock and delivery issues, and put their minds at ease that their concerns will be resolved.
  • Using business systems: Make changes to orders, investigate customer issues, and communicate with 3rd party suppliers using our various business systems.
  • Listening to customers and suggesting improvements: Gather feedback from customers and use it to improve our business processes and products.
  • Problem-solving skills: Think critically and come up with creative solutions to customer problems.

Essential Qualifications

Experience in email-based customer service: You've worked in a customer-facing role, preferably in an ecommerce environment, where you've handled customer inquiries and resolved issues via email.

  • Strong work ethic and timekeeping: You're reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm and optimistic attitude: You're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and making a positive impact on people's lives.
  • Problem-solving skills: You're able to think critically and come up with creative solutions to customer problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a similar role: You've worked in a customer-facing role, preferably in an ecommerce environment, where you've handled customer inquiries and resolved issues via email, phone, or live chat.

  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms: You're familiar with ecommerce platforms, such as Shopify or Magento, and have experience working with them.
  • Language skills: You're fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
