Principal Duties and Responsibilities As a Cement Dispatch & Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

Dispatch

* Process customer, driver, and hauler inquiries and orders using our dispatch system, ensuring timely and efficient order processing * Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers, driving profitability and customer satisfaction * Solicit and schedule orders in a timely manner, maximizing efficiency and profitability * Schedule trucks to optimize routes and reduce costs, while ensuring timely delivery to customers * Manage hauler relationships, paperwork collection, and order processing, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication * Work closely with customers to adjust truck demand to meet proper delivery rates, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty * Determine callouts for the next day, ensuring a smooth and efficient dispatch process

Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications

* A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and communication * Extensive knowledge of the Chicagoland & NWI/WI area is essential, with a deep understanding of local transportation networks and logistics * Professional certifications in dispatch or customer service are a plus, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in the field

Experience

* A minimum of 2 years of dispatch experience is required, with a proven track record of success in customer service and operational management * Experience with Sales and Dispatch software is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of data entry, reporting, and analytics

Skills/Abilities

You will also engage in extensive email, messaging, and phone communication, with customer contact, driver management, and daily dispatching may result in stressful situations. You will be required to handle extended hours during peak season, as well as varied work schedules, including split coverage during peak demands.
