Key Responsibilities and Expectations

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of inbound calls from policyholders and authorized third parties, focusing on providing exceptional customer service without any sales responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling a significant volume of inbound calls, averaging between 70-120 calls daily, and ensuring that each interaction is conducted with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintaining effective communication with policyholders, providers, and third parties to resolve inquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Staying informed about new and updated procedures regarding policy information to provide accurate and up-to-date support to policyholders.
  • Ensuring that customer needs are met in every interaction, whether conducted via phone, email, or written correspondence, and providing additional policy information as required.
  • Meeting established department standards for call volume, average call handling time, and effective time management to contribute to the team's overall performance and success.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office, with the ability to navigate multiple systems and applications with ease.
  • Capable of typing at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform efficiently under pressure, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and support.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experience are preferred:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center or similar role where daily phone interaction is essential.
  • Remote work experience, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a home office environment.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with knowledge of policy coverage and claim procedures.
  • A reliable internet connection with at least 20 Mbps upload and download speed (hard-wired connection is necessary), and a smartphone to access the VPN.
  • A quiet and professional home office environment, with minimal distractions and interruptions.

Training and Onboarding

As a new employee, you will participate in a full-time training program lasting 2-3 weeks, conducted Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in your role and provide exceptional customer service to our policyholders. Following training, you will work 40 hours per week on a Monday-Friday schedule, with no weekend shifts unless overtime is available.
