What You'll Do

As an experienced customer service representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Completing daily tasks related to account processing, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
  • Coordinating with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
  • Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Working on member cases and projects assigned to you
  • Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
  • Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions
  • Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Completing daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtaining information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
  • Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
  • Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
  • Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-examined drafts, processing member exams, verifying members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and a focus on detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and be an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
