Experienced eCommerce Customer Business Manager – US Chewy & Online Vet Strategy Development

We're seeking an experienced eCommerce Customer Business Manager to join our team in Lancaster, SC, and lead the development of our US Chewy and Online Vet (B2B/B2C) strategy.
Job Summary:
The eCommerce Customer Business Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving leadership of arenaflex products on Chewy.com and Online Vet (B2B/B2C) platforms. This role requires a strong commercial awareness, marketing and sales background, with a proven track record of developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that drive business results. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pet category, e-commerce contracts, and web promotion strategies, including SEO, SEM, and pay-per-click campaigns.
Responsibilities:
As the eCommerce Customer Business Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Creating a consistent buying journey for pet parents across channels and platforms, ensuring consistent pricing and offerings.
- Leading the development of the USA Chewy.com (USA/CAN) and Vet E-Commerce strategy and sales plans with key customers, aligned with corporate goals.
- Managing and building relationships with e-commerce and vet accounts to deliver annual sales and profit targets, establishing short and long-term sales goals for all e-commerce products.
- Providing P&L oversight for key accounts to maximize profitability by growing top-line sales and managing selling expenses.
- Developing annual sales and marketing plans and budget, recommending and managing pricing, trade budgets, and spending effectiveness.
- Helping create and execute annual promotional programs for pet products with customers and executing with excellence.
- Collaborating with Demand Planning & Key Account Management to create annual forecasts and provide monthly updates and inputs to allow for timely adjustments and on-time delivery.
- Organizing and managing the various components needed to initiate, oversee, and execute major projects, including channel/account-specific campaigns and coordinating with Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance.
- Collaborating with Marketing to provide strategic and tactical input, set advertising budgets, and commercial plans that drive business with online customers.
- Advising marketing on market demand and insights, promotional opportunities to inform future campaign ideas, incentives, and bonus offers.
- Overseeing brand protection and collaborating with Brand Protection and Marketing to remedy problems.
- Communicating with other departments within the organization to foster teamwork and effectiveness.
- Understanding competitors in specific markets and developing strategies that position arenaflex brands as category leaders.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ years of e-commerce sales and account management experience domestically or internationally.
- Commercial awareness, marketing, and sales background preferred.
- Pet category experience a plus.
- Vet experience a plus.
- In-depth understanding of developing, executing sales and marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with extensive experience working with Excel to conduct analysis and detailed sales reports.
- Travel 25%.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in English, second language helpful.
- Working knowledge of e-commerce contracts and understanding the Terms and Conditions by which everyday business is conducted.
- Knowledge of web promotion strategies: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google/Yahoo/MSN ad words, pay-per-click campaigns.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or marketing-related discipline, with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
