Job Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and empathetic manner
- Maintaining a positive, professional attitude and demeanor at all times, even in high-pressure situations
- Receiving and processing requests from multiple sources, including phone, fax, e-Commerce, and in-person interactions
- Coordinating home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery
- Engaging in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry customers as needed
- Providing customers with product and service information, including Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources
- Verifying medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services
- Following policy and work instructions to ensure the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance
- Understanding and striving to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service
- Making sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 6 months of relevant customer service experience (preferably in a medical or healthcare setting)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Attention to detail
- Good data entry skills
- Proficiency with computers, with strong typing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
As a remote employee, you'll be working from the comfort of your own home, but you'll still need to meet the physical demands of the job. These include:
- Regularly sitting, talking, and hearing
- Frequent typing and computer use
- Occasional standing and walking
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs. (50 lbs. for retail)
- Close vision required
