Key Responsibilities:

* Order entry of electronic and faxed prescriptions via arenaflex's pharmacy software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing patient orders

• Respond to phone calls and troubleshoot issues with nursing staff in a professional and courteous manner, providing timely and effective solutions
• Adjudicate and troubleshoot rejected insurance claims, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers
• Collaborate with the fill floor team to process orders in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Accurately process prescriptions, calculate proper day supplies and quantities, and provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers
• Utilize problem-solving skills to provide accurate information and efficient solutions, ensuring patient satisfaction and loyalty
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws, protecting sensitive patient information

Essential Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (or equivalent in the state of Massachusetts) and good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail, long-term care, or hospital setting
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately calculate quantities and day supplies
• Open availability, including holidays and weekends
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to arenaflex's pharmacy locations as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification

• Experience in long-term care or framework LTC settings
• Familiarity with medical terminology and Mass Pharmacy Law
• Basic understanding of claims adjudication and billing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
