Position Overview

As a Customer Service and Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, employees, providers, vendors, and other stakeholders via phone, email, web portal, and other communication channels. You will work collaboratively with our service delivery teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that enhance the patient experience. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with diverse audiences, including non-medical individuals.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming inquiries and service requests from patients, employees, providers, vendors, and other stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner

  • Utilize the highest customer service and quality standards to ensure exceptional patient experiences
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that enhance the patient experience
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized
  • Adhere to all local, state, federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure the privacy and safety of employee and patient information

Additional Requirements

* Must be a resident of one of the following states: Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Tennessee, Montana, Missouri, Louisiana, or South Carolina

  • This is a work-from-home position, therefore, internet minimum speeds of 15 mbps download and 5 mbps upload are required
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
  • 1 year of experience in medical and healthcare, human resources, payroll, accounts payable, supply chain, call center, or related customer service experience
  • 1 year of experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, electronic mail, and information systems or database programs
  • Knowledge of processes within one or more of the following functions desired (required for first round of hiring): Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle Customer Billing
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
  • Operate office equipment such as multi-lined phones, printers, faxes, copiers, and scanners
