Position Summary
The SSS Student Services Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Student Support Services (SSS) to support the development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of SSS programming and initiatives. This position assists in evaluating program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement. This position also provides support for the supervision, coordination, and support of the SSS program's tutoring services. That includes helping to coordinate all tutor hiring, training, evaluation and supervision. In addition, the SSS Student Services Coordinator provides writing skills assessments for students, writing instruction, and writing tutoring to SSS participants both individually and in small group settings.
This position will be working 32.5 hours per week on a 10-month, annual contract. There will be 2 months over the calendar year that the employee will not be actively engaged in work.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's in English or English Education.
- Experience in instructing and/or tutoring students.
- Masters in English or English Education.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in instructing and/or tutoring at the post-secondary level.
- Knowledge or experience working in TRIO.
- Knowledge or experience with at risk populations.
- Facilitating and empowering students.
- Familiarity with retention issues.
- Computer literacy.
- Additional training and study.
- Office setting
