Job Responsibilities:
As a Customer Care Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our fleet maintenance customers. Your primary duties will include:
- Analyzing vehicle and equipment issues, dismantling, repairing, and reassembling parts as needed
- Completing oil and filter changes
- Taking guidance from senior experts and managers
- Performing PC-based diagnostics and interacting with modern truck interfaces
- Basic computer use (email and internet browser)
- Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles
- Answering roadside calls
- Maintaining vehicle records as required
- Maintaining and repairing fleet equipment
- Completing all essential reports
- Maintaining records, such as daily pre-trip inspection list
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Capabilities:
* High school certificate or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach, lift, carry, move, and bend (regardless of accommodations)
- Ability to communicate in English
- Accommodating experience working under close supervision (performing work independently, working from a distance from direct manager)
- Past experience working outside (making street decisions, answering breakdowns, working in outdoor parking garages)
- Past involvement in shift work (being available to come in case of an emergency, every minute of every day accessibility, second/third shift work, flexible weeks of work)
- Past experience using shop equipment (motor cranes, welding, replacing tires, small tools)
- Essential understanding of maintenance programs
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems
- Essential computer skills
- Past involvement in preventive maintenance projects and exercises (following schedules for oil changes, documentation of work completed, following miles and usage hours, recognizing and fixing defects)
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and compressed air brake systems
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Formal training in a technical industry (e.g., certification program, military training, technical/junior college)
