The Role

As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customs administration and logistics processes. You'll be responsible for checking and filing customs paperwork, data entry, and data transfer, as well as creating and requesting relevant customs clearance documentation. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be essential in managing numerous mailboxes between carriers and vendors, ensuring all shipments have the correct and necessary documents to cross borders.

Key Responsibilities

* Checking and filing customs paperwork for EU & UK

  • Data entry and data transfer
  • Creating and requesting relevant customs clearance documentation
  • Managing numerous mailboxes between carriers and vendors
  • Ensuring all shipments have the correct and necessary documents to cross borders
  • Dealing with any discrepancies and misalignments that might arise
  • Office-based work

Essential Qualifications

* A stable and consistent work history

  • Data entry experience (essential)
  • Office working experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Clear criminal record
  • You may be required to take a Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Transport industry experience is preferred but not essential

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in customs administration or logistics

  • Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
  • Experience with data entry software and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

Our office is located in Solihill, Birmingham, and we offer a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • £25,397.00 per annum, paid hourly £13.02ph (37.5 hours)
  • Fixed 8-hour shift between 0600-1800
  • Monday to Friday working hours
