Job Description

Are you a passionate and results-driven fundraising professional eager to make a significant impact from anywhere? United Way of Midland is seeking a dedicated Remote Fundraising Specialist to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in expanding our donor base, cultivating relationships with existing supporters, and securing essential funding that fuels our vital community programs. As a Remote Fundraising Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in donor relations, grant writing, and campaign management to identify, engage, and solicit contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations across various channels. You will work autonomously while collaborating closely with our leadership and program teams to align fundraising strategies with our organizational goals and community needs.   • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation giving.
  • Identify and research prospective donors, corporations, and grant opportunities aligned with United Way of Midland's mission.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized outreach, communications, and engagement activities.
  • Prepare compelling grant proposals, reports, and other donor communication materials.
  • Plan and execute virtual fundraising campaigns and events, leveraging digital tools and platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop engaging fundraising appeals and content.
  • Provide regular reports on fundraising progress, donor engagement, and campaign performance.
  • Stay informed about fundraising best practices, trends, and regulations within the nonprofit sector.
  • Represent United Way of Midland professionally in virtual meetings and community engagements.
  • Required Skills
  • Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, specifically with individual giving, corporate partnerships, and/or grant writing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft persuasive narratives.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
  • Deep understanding of the nonprofit landscape and donor motivations.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation.
  • Experience with virtual event planning and digital fundraising platforms.
  • Familiarity with the Permian Basin community and philanthropic landscape.
  • Experience working with United Way or similar collective impact organizations.
