Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ParaProfessional to support our special education team in a preschool setting. As a ParaProfessional, you will play a vital role in assisting our special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans, providing instructional support, and helping students with various needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans and providing instructional support to students with mild to severe physical, emotional, and learning disabilities
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and presentations to support student learning and development
• Provide one-on-one and group support to students, including tutoring, socialization, and personal care assistance
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behavior modification plans and strategies
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of student progress and activities
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college or advanced education preferred
• Experience working with special needs children or in a related field preferred
• Ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment with a score of 460 or higher (training and support provided)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality
