We are seeking a highly motivated and exceptional individual to join our team as a Federal Work Study Counselor (Student Services Professional III-Range A) in the Office of Financial Aid. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive counseling to students on complex matters, planning, leading, and directing complex activities of the Federal Work Study program, and performing verification of applicant information.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Fullerton, CA (Remote work options available)
• Compensation: $5,025 - $7,159 per month
• Appointment Type: Ongoing, Full-time
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Plans, leads, and directs complex activities of the Federal Work Study program requiring independent thinking and applying professional judgment
• Provides comprehensive counseling to students on complex matters, using sensitivity, with the ability to adopt an effective course of action
• Performs verification of applicant information that is of the most complex and requires independent thinking to seek alternative solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field
• Three years of professional student services work in the field
• Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and organize programs and activities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft software or CMS is desirable
