Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Fraud and Payments Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing internal data and reporting tools to detect and prevent fraudulent or suspicious activity
• Gathering risk-related data from external resources to inform our risk management strategies
• Conducting manual AML and KYC checks as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Verifying customer identities and authenticating documents to prevent financial crimes
• Investigating initial account issues and preparing detailed reports to be escalated to the proper departments
• Collaborating with our Customer Service team to resolve patron inquiries and issues related to payments and fraud
• Assisting in collecting data and using that data to help resolve chargeback and/or patron complaints

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in fraud and payments. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a fraud and payments role with increasing responsibility
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make real-time decisions
• Strong knowledge of payment processes and procedures, with a focus on preventing financial crimes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, previous experience in the sports/gaming or fintech space would be a significant advantage. Additionally, experience working in a startup environment can provide valuable insights and skills that would be highly beneficial in this role.
