Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the care and support they need to manage their conditions. You will be responsible for providing phone support to patients who are receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment, and will work closely with our patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to coordinate and manage new and reorder medication requests.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues

  • Coordinate and manage new and reorder medication requests, including verifying and renewing benefits, assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay payments, and obtaining approvals from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and escalate orders that have records of sales or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely handling of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, demonstrating a deep understanding of our patients' needs and concerns

Required Qualifications

* Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
  • One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness

Preferred Qualifications

* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
