Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you will work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing empathetic support to patients and their families. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing, and often times unexpected, medical bills
  • Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and taking payments by phone
  • Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Continuously improving, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training

What You'll Do:

* Provide empathetic support to patients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of medical billing

  • Collaborate with patients to develop affordable payment plans and take payments by phone
  • Accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
  • Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Continuously improve your skills and knowledge with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in computer software systems, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in medical billing or healthcare customer service

  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment

* Competitive pay structure with base annual pay ranging from $37,440 - $43,680 based on prior experience
