You'll be responsible for processing various transactions, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. What You'll Do

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing daily tasks related to account processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
  • Coordinating with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure timely processing
  • Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Working on member cases and projects assigned to you
  • Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
  • Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Completing daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtaining information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
  • Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
  • Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
  • Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

What You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, previous customer/member service experience, banking or Credit Union experience, and Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience are highly desirable.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
